2023 VJ Canizaro, MD Health Summit

Overview

This one-day education event is presented by the National Diabetes and Obesity Research Institute and will provide up-to-date reviews in the management and prevention of diabetes, obesity, and related conditions. New research approaches and multidisciplinary guidelines are constantly updated on diverse topics. 

This year's conference will include information on remote patient monitoring, community and clinical interventions, and updates in diabetes and obesity management. The goal of this summit is to increase competence, clinical performance, and community success in managing patients or implementing interventions for patients with obesity and/or type 2 diabetes. 

Target Audience

Health care professionals (including physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, and dietitians), researchers, hospital and corporate administrators, and others who have an interest in the diabetes and obesity-related fields, including endocrinology, family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry and psychology, cardiology, bariatric surgery, and wellness.

Credits

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Mississippi State Medical Association and the National Diabetes and Obesity Research Institute. The Mississippi State Medical association is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
